Located in Dandong City , the most beautiful border city of China , on the Yalu River , Dandong Central Hospital is a state-owned public and Third-Class-A general Hospital , integrating the medical health, prevention, teaching and scientific research with over-60-year history. The hospital whose predecessor is Eastern Liaoning Provincial Hospital founded in 1946 , was renamed “Dandong Central Hospital” formally under the approval of the municipal government in 2nd Dec. 2004 to strengthen the construction of public health system and improve the whole level of Dandong medical technology .
The hospital covers an area of 50,000 square meters (36,000-square-meter construction area) . Equipped with 1,000 beds, 1,200 staff and workers , including 945 health professionals , 220 senior professional and technical persons . There are 5 M.D.s , 50 M.M.s , 445 undergraduates , 6 listed in Nationwide Talents Project , 49 in Liaoning Medical Association and 56 in Dandong Medical Association . The high-level professionals come top in Dandong medical health units with 9 persons as Dandong Biology Leaders and 4 as municipal famous doctors. At present the construction of surgical in-patient building has been in the substantive phase with a 71,000-square-meter total area and over 1,000 beds. The hospital owns 42 professional departments ( 25 clinic department, 17 medical technology departments), ICU, NCU, CCU , Dandong Physical Examination Center and Medical Rehabilitation Center.Our hospital always sticks to the development strategy of “improving the hospital with talents , vitilizing the hospital with science and technology”, perfects unceasingly the incentive mechanism to the excellent talents ，for whom a career development platform is set up actively .
